Wool contains natural anti-microbial and doesn't need to be washed as often as you may think. Between uses, wool may be hung up or laid flat away from direct sunlight to air out odours. Surface dirt may be brushed off. When washing is necessary, hand washing with cold water is recommended to avoid shrinking. Lay flat to dry (if hung when too wet, your gear may lose its shape).

Your leather goods will break in with time and use. Keeping your leather clean and moisturized between uses will prolong the lifespan of your gear. Air-dry wet leather as soon as possible. Dirt and debris can be brushed off with a damp brush. Once dry, apply a leather conditioner. Vegetable tanned leather will develop character and patina with age.
